Choshi flourished as a port town, and has the Choshi fishing port  is the largest amount of landing in Japan. Choshi was prosperous in the brewing, fishery, and distribution industries centered on Soy Sauce brewing due to the development of Tonegawa Shipping in the Edo period. There is also a side of tourist cities with some of the best scenic spots in Japan, such as Inubozaki犬吠埼) and Byobugaura(屛風ヶ浦). Inubozaki is known as the earliest spot for the first sunrise in Japan.

Certainly, if you go up the hill(地球の丸く見える丘展望館), the Inubosaki Lighthouse(犬吠埼灯台) and the Choshi Port Tower(銚子ポートタワー), you can feel that the earth is round.

Choshi Fishing Port is the largest fishing port in Japan. There are many fish restaurants in Choshi Town, offering a variety of fresh fish dishes. In particular, simmered red bream(金目鯛の煮物) is recommended.

There are many wind power plants in the city. Most of them are located on a hill centering around Kafugaura.

地球の丸く見える丘展望館から From Hill Observatory that looks round the earth. Mt. Fuji was seen far away. A very romantic place! From here, you can see many huge windmills for wind power generation. Was there no influence of Typhoon No.15?

犬吠埼灯台 the Inubosaki Lighthouse. One of Japan's leading lighthouses. Light tower height (height from the ground to the top of the tower) 31.3 meters. You can climb up the upper part of the lighthouse using steep stairs.

月の沙漠 Tsuki no Sabaku(Moon Desert )is a famous nursery rhyme in Japan, and Japanese people seemed to know the song, but young people didn't know it.

海ほたるパーキングエリア The Umihotaru parking area. Located on Kisarazu artificial island managed by the East Japan Expressway. Although it is a parking area, the store facilities are the same as the service area.
