旅の思い出・番外編ーウズベキスタンの旅(7) Memories of trips-extra edition-No.7. Trip to Uzbekistan-end of this trip and returning to Japan

On Thursday 10. 9 2014 we got the high speed train to Tashkent at Samarkand Station. The station was large and magnificent, but unfortunately taking photos were banned. Nevertheless many German people took photos of the station. The train cars were made in Spain, which was nice design. I heard this railway reached to Novosibirsk(ノボシビルスク)in Siberia of Russia from Tashkent .

We arrived at Tashkent Station about 4 hours. We visited the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan. I paid 10 dollars for taking photos in the museum, but actually it was not checked to take photos. The exhibitions were mainly Alexander the Great(356B.C.~323B.C.), Genghis Khan(1162~1227) and the Mongol Empire, Timur(1336~1405)and his Empire, and people's lives of early-modern times.

I thought then this was just the place where Eastern and Western civilizations had met together. Why had people moved to unknown world at the risk of their lives? Maybe they had been seeking something they had never seen. And old cities were destroyed and new cities were constructed just like a cyclical repetition of creation and destruction. It might have been the ideal land for them. Everyone might have been so, too, and we go travelling now to seek something we have not never seen.

Finally I want to give gratitude to the members of my tour group. Thanks for their kindness. Japan's proverb says no road is long with good company!!

I barely reached to Tokyo International Airpot by the plane of Uzbekistan Airline at 10 a.m. on Friday 10.10 2014.
