新橋-the holy place for salaried workers and the birthplace of Japan's railway
Shinbashi is located in the center of Tokyo next to Marunouchi and Ginza, and one of representative business districts in Japan. It is generally called the town of salaried workers. There are many office workers in this district and they walk busily and seriously around here. But in the evening you will find them relieved and relaxed near Shinbashi Stasion. They are searching Japanese style bars called Izakaya. There are many Izakaya under a railroad and the vicinity. And you find many workers drunk so much with tottering steps. They look satisfied and happy because they have released their stress in Izakaya.
And Shinbashi is well known as the birthplace of Japan's railway. A steam locomotive is exhibited in front of Shinbashi Station. Japan's first train was started in 1872. This is an amazing event in that Japan's modernization called the Meiji Restoration started in 1868.
